When the system needs energy, the flywheel slows down, and the motor acts as a generator, converting the flywheel&#8217;s kinetic energy back into electrical energy for use. FES achieves energy storage and release through the acceleration and deceleration of the rotor. Compared to other storage technologies, FES offers advantages such as a longer lifespan, high energy density, no limitations on charge-discharge cycles, easy installation and maintenance, and minimal environmental impact. It is also suitable for integration with clean energy systems like solar and wind power.<\/p>\n<p>However, flywheel energy storage is not without its flaws.
