Photoluminescence refers to the phenomenon in which objects rely on external light sources to obtain energy and are excited to emit light. It roughly goes through three main stages: absorption, energy transfer and light emission.<\/span><\/span>Solar cells absorb light to generate electricity, but some of it is emitted through a phenomenon called luminescence. The method of imaging this light is called PL observation.<\/span><\/span>
