It refers to the cost of each power generation, also known as the levelized cost of power generation, one of the methods to evaluate the cost of power generation. It is calculated based on the amount of electricity expected to be generated during operation, plus costs such as construction costs, operation and maintenance costs, fuel costs and profits required to generate electricity. Generally measured in megawatt hours (MWH), one megawatt hour is equal to 1,000 kilowatt hours (KWH). If the currency unit of capital investment is Japanese yen, the unit of LCOE is "yen\/kWh".<\/span>

As a quantitative economic indicator, LCOE is often used to compare and evaluate the comprehensive economic benefits of renewable energy power generation (photovoltaic, wind energy, bioenergy, geothermal, etc.) and traditional power generation methods (coal-fired, natural gas, large hydropower stations, etc.). It is considered an important indicator for evaluating the competitiveness of the sustainable energy market and is also influential in strategic decisions in the energy industry.<\/span>

It should be noted that LCOE is different from the cost of power station construction or investment, but includes the comprehensive costs of all incurred and predictable factors during the entire design life cycle (usually 15-20 years), including power station construction, rent, and financing. Interest, operations management, etc. Therefore, when investors or owners evaluate the economic benefits\/profitability of a power station project, LCOE is more meaningful than the initial investment cost of the power station.<\/span>

For example: two power plants A and B have the same initial investment and total power generation. A starts generating power in the 2nd year and B only starts generating power in the 12th year. LCOE\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u91cf\u5316\u7684\u7ecf\u6d4e\u6307\u6807\uff0c\u5e38\u88ab\u7528\u4e8e\u6bd4\u8f83\u548c\u8bc4\u4f30\u53ef\u518d\u751f\u80fd\u6e90\u53d1\u7535\uff08\u5149\u4f0f\uff0c\u98ce\u80fd\uff0c\u751f\u7269\u80fd\u6e90\u3001\u5730\u70ed\u7b49\uff09\u4e0e\u4f20\u7edf\u53d1\u7535\u65b9\u5f0f\uff08\u71c3\u7164\u3001\u5929\u7136\u6c14\uff0c\u5927\u578b\u6c34\u529b\u7535\u7ad9\u7b49\uff09\u7684\u7efc\u5408\u7ecf\u6d4e\u6548\u76ca\u3002\u88ab\u8ba4\u4e3a\u662f\u8bc4\u4ef7\u53ef\u6301\u7eed\u80fd\u6e90\u5e02\u573a\u7ade\u4e89\u529b\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6307\u6807\uff0c\u5bf9\u80fd\u6e90\u884c\u4e1a\u7684\u6218\u7565\u51b3\u7b56\u4e5f\u5177\u6709\u5f71\u54cd\u529b\u3002<\/span>
