LCCM住宅とは、Life Cycle Carbon Minus住宅の略称である。住宅の建設時、運用時、廃棄時においてできるだけ二酸化炭素（CO2）排出量の削減に取り組み、さらに太陽光発電などを利用した再生可能エネルギーの創出を行うことにより、建物の建設から廃棄に至るまでのライフサイクルを通じてCO2の収支をマイナスにする住宅のこと。ZCH住宅がCO₂排出量をプラスマイナスゼロにするのに対して、LCCM住宅はライフサイクルを通じてCO2の排出量をマイナスにするものである。

Carbon-negative houses are residences that focus on reducing carbon dioxide emissions as much as possible during construction, operation, and disposal. Additionally, they generate renewable energy, such as solar power, to achieve a negative CO2 balance throughout the entire lifecycle of the building. While Zero Carbon Homes aim to achieve a balance of zero CO2 emissions, Carbon-negative houses strive to make the CO2 emissions negative throughout their lifecycle.
